A Little Bit About My Background
I began my journey of understanding the body when I was very young. Ever since I can remember I have been prancing around the house, exploring my own body and it's inherent movement. I started dance lessons at about 12 years old and have continued to explore my passion around healing and movement ever since!
In High School, when asked what I wanted to do when I "grew up", I knew I wanted to work with bridging movement and healing together. The road since then has been full of interesting twists, turns, and spins, just as is any great story.
I graduated from a Waldorf High School in Chapel Hill, NC and decided to take an alternative route instead of the traditional college trajectory. I knew that what I was looking for was not contained within the walls of a college classroom, and that I would have to forage my own path in life following my heart. In 2008 I completed a 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training with Asheville Yoga Center, in North Carolina. After my Yoga Training, I was invited to become a part of the local dance company called Asheville Contemporary Dance Theater as their youngest member. I danced with ACDT for a year before deciding I really wanted to learn how to grow my own food and get back in touch with Nature. I moved to Maui in 2009 with a one way ticket in order to pursue my dream of living off the land with a conscious community. I had some epic adventures and deep learning experiences, but after 5 months I was ready to return to my calling as a dancer. Early 2010 had me back in Asheville dancing with ACDT once more. It was through ACDT that an amazing opportunity to dance with the State Contemporary Dance Company of Yucatan, Mexico, came along. In fall of 2010 I boarded a plane, again with a one-way ticket, knowing no spanish, to join ALSUR DANZA of Yucan as their guest artist. My time in Mexico was thrilling, and again was full of deep learning and growth. In listening closely to my heart, I returned back to North Carolina only after 5 months of dancing in Mexico. It was now time to explore hands on healing.
In the summer of 2011 I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend Healing Mountain Massage School with one of my best friends I had met on Maui 2 years prior. Early 2012 I graduated Massage School and was planning on leaving Utah by the Summer. Low and behold, the universe had other plans in mind. I met the love of my life 4 weeks before I was scheduled to leave Utah for good. Phoenix Aurelius was more then enough of a reason to hunker down in good ol' Utah for a while. By 2013 I completed a dream of becoming a Registered Somatic Movement Educator, through East West Somatics in St. George, UT. In 2014 we moved to Ogden, Utah and it was there that I started my own bodywork practice out of my home. All the while teaching Somatic Movement Workshops, Yoga Classes, and trying to start an Ecstatic Dance Scene in Ogden.
Life took a sudden turn when out of the blue an opportunity arose that we couldn't pass up. We made the leap to beautiful Portland, OR in the fall of 2015. Since then, we have been slowly establishing ourselves in this city. I have taken a break from building a bodywork practice here in Portland, and have instead been honing my skills in the kitchen and garden. Since July 2016, I have been working towards building my skills as a Holistic Wellness Coach. Life is full of twists and turns, 2017 has found me once again back in Ogden, UT re-creating my bodywork practice as well as offering various workshops and movement classes.

Every truth gives way to a deeper more viable truth until a universal truth is obtained
As above so below, as within so without
Mindfulness and presence is one of the keys to happiness
Everyone has their own answer and their own path
Everything is energy
The only thing constant is change
The point of everything is simply evolution, and for us humans that means "learning"
We live in a quantum universe, our thoughts create our reality....
